Chargers star Joey Bosa is ‘feeling very good’ moving forward

The Los Angeles Chargers’ win on Monday night over the Indianapolis Colts secured a playoff berth.

The Chargers received even better news with star pass rusher Joey Bosa set to return from the injured reserve, giving him a 21-day window to get back on the field.

The All-Pro defensive end voiced that he’s feeling great physically and quite confident about stepping back into the mix.

“I’m going to take it one day at a time, and let the coaches decide on that,” Bosa said, via video from Nick Cothrel of ChargerReport.com. “Yeah, I think I’m feeling really good, and I kind of made it a point not to come back until I felt confident in myself and being able to perform in the games and not just go out there the first three reps of practice and feel decent. Yeah, I’m feeling very good.”

Los Angeles has missed Bosa’s presence as the franchise hoped the pairing of him and Khalil Mack would be the staple of their pass rush. Instead, Bosa injured his groin in Week 3 action and hasn’t played a snap since due to undergoing surgery to fix a chronic issue in his core.

Mack has been a significant factor, posting eight sacks, two forced fumbles, and 47 total tackles. Bosa’s return will provide a significant boost to the Chargers’ defensive front.

The duo showed flashes of promise in the first two weeks of the season, combining for 5.5 sacks, 20 quarterback pressures and 13 hurries. Bosa has the opportunity to help the Chargers push toward the Super Bowl.
