Hornets star Miles Bridges says he ‘might be back in March’
Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges could see his NBA career resume quite soon.
Bridges recently voiced that he anticipates potentially returning to the floor in March.
“It’s been a long process,” Bridges told The Associated Press on Tuesday night at halftime of Michigan State’s home game against No. 17 Indiana via ESPN. “I might be back in March.”

Bridges hasn’t played a single game in the 2022-23 campaign due to his legal issues. Three months ago, he pleaded no contest to a felony count of injuring a child’s parent, which he received three years probation and no jail time.
Bridges also had to go through 52 weeks of parenting classes, 42 weeks of domestic violence counseling, and 100 hours of community service. The punishment stems from accusations that he assaulted his girlfriend in front of their two children last June.

Although Bridges believes he will return this season, he may likely face punishment from the NBA, resulting in a lengthy suspension. He is currently a restricted free agent, which would make his return with the Hornets if they signed him for the rest of the year.
General manager Mitch Kupchak spoke about the possibility of Bridges’ return with much apprehension.
“The NBA is conducting an investigation and I don’t know when that is going to end,” Kupchak said. “When it ends, we’ll have more information and we’ll go from there. I’ll leave it up to you to decide what kind of impact that had on our team this year.”
There will likely be more clarity in the coming weeks.
