AFC South Sunday Preview
The AFC South playoff picture is all but set in stone. The Houston Texans have clinched the playoff berth and the Indianapolis Colts are currently the AFC team with the best chance, as far as win/loss records are concerned, to secure a wild card spot.
Where does that leave the rest of the AFC South?
Do not expect the Tennessee Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars to phone it in. Both teams will be playing with intensity all the way to the end as they will now be playing for job security and aiming to play spoiler for teams that are on the edge of a wild card spot. Let’s get a preview of the AFC South games for Week 14.
Indianapolis Colts versus Tennessee Titans
Most people have already counted the Titans out in this game. It is important to remember how inconsistent the Colts. It is true they are playing well at the moment but as we have seen all season this can end today.
The Titans key to victory lies in a handful of things that Tennessee is going to need to do.
The Titans are obviously going to want to put pressure on Andrew Luck, but often times Luck is his own worst enemy. The Titans true key to victory lies in their offensive game play which is going to have to come together now if they want to finish the season with a decent record.
First, Locker is going to have to keep the ball for his team. No more fumbles, no more interceptions. The offense is also going to have to let Locker play the game. They need to allow him to run no huddles when necessary and call some plays. The Titans offense has been pretty successful when Locker truly takes the helm.  The coaches in Tennessee need to put their trust in Locker.
The Titans also need to fully utilize their other major offensive weapon, Chris Johnson. He needs to be carry the ball on first and second downs often.  If he does not finish the game with more than 20 carries the Titans will probably be on the losing end of this game.
The Colts have a -4.5 point spread as the favorites to win this game. The money line for the Colts is at -210. The Titans money line is at +175.
Jacksonville Jaguars versus New York Jets
This is Jacksonville’s game to win. The Jets are a team in turmoil. They are not even sure who should take the helm as quarterback let alone put together a team that can win. However, the Jaguars 2-10 so if the Jets are going to beat anyone it will be the Jaguars.
Both these teams will be looking at this game as a must win as both coaches are on the hot seat. The way both these teams look at it is if they can’t defeat the opposing team then they are in serious trouble.
The Jets are the favorites to win with a-3 point spread.
