Browns head coach Hue Jackson says Myles Garrett could play in Week 4

The Cleveland Browns chose to upgrade their defense in the 2017 NFL Draft. The struggling franchise went with defensive end Myles Garrett rather than going with a quarterback with the top pick in the draft.

Unfortunately for Cleveland, Garrett suffered an ankle injury before the start of the 2017 campaign. As a result, the Texas A&M product missed the first three games of his rookie season, but he may be able to get back on the field in Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to head coach Hue Jackson via Nate Ulrich of Ohio.com.

“No, he just needs to practice,” Jackson said. “If he is able to play, we might not play him the whole game. So we’ll see how that unfolds if he’s able to go. We’ll find out more as we go through the week.”

The Browns have yet to win a game as they sit with a 0-3 record heading into Week 4. Cincinnati is always winless this season with Marvin Lewis struggling to get his team going this year.

If Garrett can play in Week 4 and is healthy, the Browns will get a much-needed boost defensively. Cleveland’s offense has been better than expected this year with rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer already playing at a high level for the Browns.

Although Kizer has been a pleasant surprise for Cleveland, the team remains winless and will hope to be the first of the two teams in Sunday’s matchup to come out with a victory this season.
