Ezekiel Elliott Caught Shoving Security Guard

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is in hot water again after footage circulated of his recent Las Vegas altercation.

The incident occurred during a concert. The footage shows a security guard falling to the ground after Ezekiel Elliott threw and arm at him.

The security guard approached Elliott as he was engaged in an argument with a woman. He was seen blocking her path before asking the security guard, “You got something to say?”

Ezekiel Elliott was temporarily handcuffed, although he was not arrested or charged.

According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, the NFL will review the footage. The league wil ascertain whether Elliott violated the conditions of his previous six-game suspension.

According to Robinson, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is confident that there will be no further punishment for the running back.

However, a league source said commissioner Roger Goodell can ‘clearly’ review the footage under the personal conduct policy.

Elliott’s previous transgressions count against him in this case. There is a higher level of scrutiny on him due to his previous suspension.

Elliott was suspended for 6 games in 2017 following an NFL investigation into domestic violence allegations. The allegations were made by his ex-girlfriend, Tiffany Thompson.

It is something that the Cowboys organization has struggled to move on from, per Robinson:

“That previous case continues to be a source of resentment at the highest levels of the Cowboys franchise, largely due to the league’s sole interviewer of Elliott’s accuser having recommended no discipline after finding inconsistencies and credibility issues with [Thompson’s] statements.”

They believe that the attention Elliott receives is “fueled by a previously flawed investigation.”

His attorney, Frank Salzano, played down the incident in Las Vegas.

“Security misconstrued and overreacted to the situation,” he said.
