Josh Rosen Officially Signs with the Arizona Cardinals
First round draft pick Josh Rosen has agreed to a four year deal to play with the Arizona Cardinals.
The former UCLA product also has a team option for a fifth year. Although the details of the deal were not disclosed, reports say he will earn $17.84 million over four years. Josh Rosen will also earn a signing bonus of $11 million.
In the NFL Draft last month, Josh Rosen was picked 10th overall. He expressed his disappointment at falling that low, although it hasn’t clouded his impressive talent.

It took only one day for Rosen to convince the Arizona Cardinals brass to offer him a rookie deal.
“I don’t think we’ve ever signed a rookie, Day One, walking in the door,” team President Michael Bidwill told azcardinals.com. The Arizona Cardinals’ three-day rookie minicamp begins on Friday.
Rosen was one of five quarterbacks to be drafted in the first round, and the first to sign a pro contract.
His former UCLA coach Jim Mora said that the deal is a ‘great situation’ for the player and the team:
“I think it’s a great situation for both the Arizona Cardinals and Josh Rosen. He’ll come in with a new coach and a new staff. He gets to work with Mike McCoy as his coordinator; he gets to be in a room with Sam Bradford, who is a tremendous person and quarterback; and it’s close enough to home that I think there will be a little benefit there. He gets to play on grass in an indoor/outdoor stadium. I think it’s all positive.â€

He joins another recent addition out of UCLA in Arizona. The Cardinals also signed fullback Derrick Coleman to a one year contract.
Coleman is the first deaf offensive player to play in the NFL. He was an undrafted rookie free agent in 2013 before joining the Minnesota Vikings. He has played 47 NFL games in total, including all 16 with the Atlanta Falcons last season.
