Celtics star Jaylen Brown to ‘miss the next 1-2 weeks’ with hamstring injury
The Boston Celtics have limped through the first few weeks of the 2021-22 season.
The Celtics have struggled to find consistency, which the team took another significant hit as first-year head coach Ime Udoka announced that star guard Jaylen Brown will miss one to two weeks due to a hamstring strain, according to ESPN.

Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown will miss the next 1-2 weeks with a right hamstring strain, coach Ime Udoka announced Monday.
Brown is putting up a career-best campaign as he’s ranked eighth in the league with  25.6 points per contest while shooting 49.3% from the floor and 39.7% from beyond the arc.The All-Star guard has been a significant offensive factor as he and Jayson Tatum have formed a formidable duo. He has scored 25 or more points five times in eight games played, including three 30-point outings topped by a 46-point performance against the New York Knicks.
However, it hasn’t translated to consistent success for the Celtics, as they hold a 4-6 record through the first 10 games. Boston is currently four games out of the top spot, and 1.5 games behind the Toronto Raptors for the eighth seed.

With Brown out, Tatum must take on more of the offensive workload. He’s averaging 23.6 points but has struggled to shoot effectively, hitting at a 39.5% clip from the floor and a career-worst 32.1% from 3-point range.
Tatum has tallied north of 20 points six times, while he’s coming off a double-double outing with 32 points and 11 rebounds in the loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
