Nuggets lose Aaron Gordon for another 4-6 weeks

The Denver Nuggets will be without big man Aaron Gordon for the next four to six weeks after reinjuring his right hamstring.

It occurred during the first half of Friday’s 102-100 win over the Milwaukee Bucks after he attempted to push the ball up the court.

The injury previously forced him to miss 19 games this season. In 23 games, he is averaging 17.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists while shooting 50.4 percent from the floor and 40 percent from beyond the arc.

It is a significant blow to the Nuggets, as he’s been a valuable piece on both ends of the floor. He has become a dependable scorer and defensive factor. His absence places more on Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic to lead the charge.

Jokic returned after missing 16 games due to a hyperextension of his left knee. He dominated in his first game back despite playing only 25 minutes due to a minute restriction, posting 31 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists in the 122-109 win over the LA Clippers.

“I was not scared to use it,” Jokic said via 104.3 The Fan. “I was not thinking about it while I was running, while I was playing. So, I think that’s a good sign that I’m ready.”

He became the first player in NBA history to record a stat line of at least 30 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in 25 minutes played.
