Jadeveon Clowney apparently met Dolphins new head coach Brian Flores. He also met other Dolphins’ representatives who are attempting to persuade the Pro Bowler to sign with the Dolphins.

Houston is interested in Laremy Tunsil, the left tackle for the Dolphins. However, Miami is not likely to trade Tunsil in a deal for Clowney, said league sources.
The interest by Miami in Clowney was reported first by the NFL Network, while the Miami Herald reported that the Dolphins believe they are the front runners to land Clowney, who has refused to sign the one-year franchise tender Houston offered.

Last season, Clowney was named to the Pro Bowl for the third consecutive season. He finished with 47 tackles, nine quarterback sacks, one fumble recovery and one force fumble. Sixteen of Clowney’s 47 tackles were for a loss. Additionally, he’s accumulated 53 tackles behind the line of scrimmage the past three seasons, which is third in the NFL.
Clowney was drafted No. 1 overall in the 2014 draft and suffered knee injuries the first few years of his career sitting out 15 games over a two-season span. In 2016, Clowney played with elbow and wrist injuries but missed just two games while earning his first Pro Bowl selection. Since the start of the 2017 season, Clowney has missed only one game during a two-season stretch.
