Eagles keep Dallas Goedert in Philly for another year
The Philadelphia Eagles have been in the news a lot lately, with rumors continuing to swirl around the storied NFL franchise about its intentions during the offseason, namely on the trade front.
However, while the rumors continue to swirl, the team has decided to bring back veteran tight end Dallas Goedert on a one-year deal, according to ESPN.
The Eagles and tight end Dallas Goedert reached an agreement on a one-year, $7 million contract Sunday, sources told ESPN.
The deal includes a $4.25 million signing bonus, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Goedert brings stability at the tight end position, having played all eight seasons in the NFL with Philadelphia and coming off an incredible 2025 season in which he caught a career-high 11 touchdown passes.

Before 2025, Goedert hadn’t caught more than five touchdowns in his career, with that coming back in 2019. He also hauled a career-high 60 catches.
Now the attention turns back to the superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown and whether the Eagles will trade him before the start of next season.
Philadelphia has been juggling multiple situations, including trade discussions revolving around receiver A.J. Brown. Should they trade Brown before June 1, the Eagles will incur a cap hit of more than $40 million — a number that shrinks to around $20 million if they trade him afterward.
Only time will tell what the future holds for Brown in Philadelphia.
