NFL power rankings: Chiefs remain atop AFC

Even after losing to the Baltimore Ravens, our NFL power rankings say the Kansas City Chiefs remain the team to beat in the AFC.

16. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2)

Trevor Lawrence and Urban Meyer are off to a rough start in Duval. This week, Kyler Murray and the Cardinals.

15. New York Jets (0-2)

Zach Wilson had a day to forget on Sunday, throwing four interceptions without notching a single touchdown drive against the Patriots.

14. Houston Texans (1-1)

Without Tyrod Taylor, this might be the saddest offense in the league. Good luck to Davis Mills on Thursday.

13. Cincinnati Bengals (1-1)

Cincinnati has some pieces, but the offensive line is still a working in progress and the defense has nowhere to go but up.

12. Indianapolis Colts (0-2)

If Carson Wentz can’t go on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, the Colts are very likely looking at 0-3.

11. Miami Dolphins (1-1)

The Dolphins need to figure out whether Tua Tagovailoa can play. That’ll be tough right now as he’s dealing with a rib injury.

10. New England Patriots (1-1)

Mac Jones is the ultimate game manager for New England. Play good defense and hope Jones makes a few plays.

9. Denver Broncos (2-0)

The Broncos are atop the AFC West, but they’ve beaten the New York Giants and Jaguars. What happens when they get a tough opponent?

8. Tennessee Titans (1-1)

The Titans stepped up in the second half to rally before beating the Seattle Seahawks in overtime. Now, the Colts.

7. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1)

Pittsburgh has the ability to stop everybody, but Ben Roethlisberger has the ability to stop his own offense.

6. Los Angeles Chargers (1-1)

Justin Herbert can’t throw two interceptions and have the Chargers still beat a decent team. Los Angeles isn’t there yet.

5. Las Vegas Raiders (2-0)

The Raiders are the surprise of this round of NFL power rankings. Left for dead, Las Vegas is 2-0 with good wins over the Ravens and Steelers.

4. Baltimore Ravens (1-1)

John Harbaugh’s club might have saved its season by beating the Chiefs in a wild 36-35 affair. Lamar Jackson finally got the best of Patrick Mahomes.

3. Cleveland Browns (1-1)

The Browns rebounded from a tough Week 1 loss to the Chiefs by handling the undermanned Texans, but not before a tough first half.

2. Buffalo Bills (1-1)

Buffalo was able to even its record by pounding the Dolphins 35-0 over the weekend in South Beach. However, there has to be concern about Josh Allen’s play.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (1-1)

The Chiefs hold the top spot despite a close loss in Baltimore, but they won’t should they lose this week at home against the Chargers.
