NFL power rankings, Week 4: Eagles top NFC list
The NFL power rankings are here for Week 4, and the NFC edition has the Philadelphia Eagles sitting on top.
16. Seattle Seahawks (LW: 15)
The first Monday night of the year was awesome for Seattle, but it’s clear that is going to be the exception, not the rule.
15. Chicago Bears (LW: 14)
Can Justin Fields play at all? Do the Bears want to bench him but know they can’t do it yet? Ugly passing game in the Windy City.
14. Atlanta Falcons (LW: 16)
The Falcons are doing enough defensively to stay competitive, and the offense is legitimately fun to watch.
13. Carolina Panthers (LW: 13)
Carolina has no passing game with Baker Mayfield struggling, but the Panthers saved the season by beating the Saints last week.
12. Washington Commanders (LW: 12)
Washington is 1-2 and now has to beat the Cowboys on the road or face the prospects of trying to dig out of a 1-3 hole with an 0-2 NFC East mark.
11. Detroit Lions (LW: 11)
The Lions can score plenty of points, but can the defense do enough to keep Detroit in the playoff hunt as the season progresses?
10. Arizona Cardinals (LW: 8)
What to do with the Cardinals? They’ll get healthier, but Arizona needs to find a more consistent offense to win some games.
9. New Orleans Saints (LW: 7)
Don’t like the trend lines here. New Orleans’ offense is struggling and the defense, while good, has been far from great.
8. New York Giants (LW: 9)
New York is 2-1 and hosting the Bears. If the Giants can handle business, they’re in a nice spot after the first four games.
7. Dallas Cowboys (LW: 10)
Dallas looked like toast after Dak Prescott went down, but Cooper Rush has won two games and is now favored against Washington.
6. San Francisco 49ers (LW: 5)
The Niners need Jimmy Garoppolo to step up. It’s not enough to hope the defense wins the game every week.
5. Minnesota Vikings (LW: 6)
Minnesota is a weird team that isn’t consistent enough to be an elite contender, but the Vikings are talented.
4. Los Angeles Rams (LW: 4)
The Rams are 2-1 after that ugly loss to start the year, and can take a stranglehold on the NFC West by beating San Francisco on Monday night.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 1)
The Bucs will be fine, but the offense needs to get healthy and stop running so much on first down.
2. Green Bay Packers (LW: 3)
Green Bay is rolling once again on defense, and the offense will eventually find itself. Too much talent.
1. Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 2)
Only undefeated team in the league.
