NFL Week 14 schedule: 5 QBs primed for huge games
Looking at the NFL Week 14 schedule, expect these five quarterbacks to have a huge day against their overmatched opponents.
5. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
The Bills are reeling right now, but they should have a good day through the air — if nothing else — on Sunday afternoon against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Nobody has been more beat up in the secondary than Tampa Bay, which has gone through a litany of starters on the back end. Buffalo is one of the most pass-heavy teams in the NFL, and Allen is going to be firing often to receivers Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders. Expect a huge stat line from the Wyoming product.

4. Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns
Mayfield has been struggling all year, but the Browns are off their bye week. This means Mayfield has had two weeks to at least get somewhat healthy, helping him get ready for a huge game against the Baltimore Ravens. Cleveland understands that Baltimore is one of the league’s worst pass defenses, and now is without All-Pro corner Marlon Humphrey after a pec injury last weekend. Mayfield should have one of his better performances of the year.
3. Russell Wilson, Seattle SeahawksÂ
Wilson has struggled in the month he’s played since returning from a finger injury that kept him out throughout October and early November. However, the Seahawks draw the Houston Texans in the confines of NRG Stadium, giving Wilson a chance to destroy a beleaguered defense. D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett should consistently win their matchups, giving Seattle a big day on the scoreboard.

2. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
After lighting up the Cincinnati Bengals last week to the tune of 41 points, the Chargers now come home to face the New York Giants. New York is 4-8 and miserably injured on both sides of the ball. Los Angeles should have no issue getting receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams open throughout, with Herbert taking more deep shots. The Chargers are one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses, and the Giants don’t have the capability to slow them down.
1. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
Less than a month ago, we watched the Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. On that Sunday night, Mahomes threw for more than 400 yards with five touchdowns in a 41-14 win. While repeating those numbers could be a big ask, Mahomes is a nice bet to have another big day through the air, torching what has been a struggling Raiders defense.
