NFL Week 2 lines: 5 best bets on underdogs
The NFL Week 2 lines are intriguing, and we take a glance before picking five underdogs who could be lucrative this weekend.
5. Indianapolis Colts (+3.5) vs. Los Angeles Rams
The Colts were awful last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, getting pushed around in the trenches en route to a 28-16 defeat. Now they see the Rams come into town with a 1-0 record after pounding the Chicago Bears. Indianapolis has the benefit of playing in the weak AFC South, but going 0-2 is a tough spot in terms of the AFC race for seeding. Expect a heavy dose of running back Jonathan Taylor, some play-action from Carson Wentz and a tight game which results in a cover or outright win.

4. Dallas Cowboys (+3.5) at Los Angeles Chargers
The Cowboys are coming off 10 days worth of rest. They also have a home game in Los Angeles, as a good 70-80 percent of the crowd will assuredly be rooting for America’s Team. On the down side, the Cowboys are without a host of players including defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, receiver Michael Gallup, suspended right tackle La’El Collins and edge rusher Randy Gregory. Still, expect a shootout which should come down to the final few minutes.
3. Tennessee Titans (+6.5) at Seattle Seahawks
This is really about the numbers. The Titans certainly don’t deserve any love for their rancid showing in Week 1, where they were pushed around and embarrassed in a 38-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. However, the Titans have some of the best weapons in the game and a solid quarterback, so only having to stay within six points after being so humbled? Good value, even against the Seahawks on the road.

2. Carolina Panthers (+3.5) vs. New Orleans Saints
A pair of undefeated NFC South teams enter Bank of America Stadium, and there’s some value to be found. Carolina dispatched the New York Jets to begin the season, doing so with terrific defense from their young unit. Meanwhile, the Saints crushed the Green Bay Packers by a 38-3 margin, and now look to build further. However, the Saints haven’t been to New Orleans in a few weeks due to Hurricane Ida, while the Panthers are home for a second straight week. Advantage, Carolina.
1. Cincinnati Bengals (+2.5) at Chicago Bears
The Bengals could be the better team. They certainly have the superior quarterback and weaponry, and maybe the head coach. Chicago is also entering a toxic situation at home, where the fans will be booing the team should quarterback Andy Dalton start poorly. It’s not an enviable spot for the Bears.
