Odell Beckham Jr.’s Giants Comeback Hopes Got Major Update From John Harbaugh
As the offseason moves along, the New York Giants could have a familiar face back in uniform as former Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been in constant communication with the organization.
Head coach John Harbaugh voiced this past week that he has spoken to Beckham three or four times over the last week, but will allow the situation to play out over the next month before making a decision.
“Talked to Odell a lot, probably three of four times in the last week, [see] where he’s at, where we’re at,” Harbaugh said Saturday via ESPN. “He’s in Arizona right now training and spending time with his son. The goal for right now is for him to train and get as ready as he can be. And then we’ll see where we’re at at that time.”
Throughout much of the offseason, Beckham’s name has been circled as a possible addition for the Giants. He remains a free agent, but there is looming interest in him returning to New York for the 2026 season.
Want $250 to bet on the NFL?
It’s been a long path back to the NFL for Beckham, as he last played for the Miami Dolphins in the 2024 campaign, when he recorded just 9 catches for 55 receiving yards. That alone has left some uncertainty around his ability at this point in his football career.
“We have just such an honest conversation about it. It’s got to be right for both parties,” Harbaugh said. “Odell wants to be the kind of player that can make a difference. I’m pretty sure that he can make a team in the National Football League right now. But can he make a difference and is it something he wants to do and is his body going to hold up the way he wants it to?”
Ultimately, time will tell whether Beckham gets his Giants reunion in the coming weeks.
