Patriots’ Bill Belichick could coach well into his 70s
Over nearly the last two decades, the New England Patriots have been the standard-bearers in the NFL behind their enormous amount of success.
At the forefront of that has been the steady hand of head coach Bill Belichick, who has continued to lead the team forward into Super Bowl contention annually. With Belichick being in his late 60s, he recently voiced that he’s open to the idea of coaching into his 70s. (h/t Mike Reiss of ESPN)

“When I said it, maybe I didn’t know what 70 felt like,” the New England Patriots coach said Monday during his weekly appearance on sports radio WEEI. “So I’m not really sure if that’s an accurate statement today or not. At the time, I didn’t feel that way. Now that I’m closer to that age, I don’t know.”
These comments from Belichick are certainly encouraging for the Patriots as his presence has been key to helping guide the franchise to unmatched success. He is coming off his 300th career win as a head coach, which puts him behind only George Halas (324) and Don Shula (347) as the only head coaches to reach that mark in NFL history.

The relationship between Belichick and Brady has been a significant part of the Patriots remaining one of the top teams in the league. Ultimately, there will be finality with that matter next offseason.
