Raiders give Maxx Crosby significant raise for 2024 NFL season
As the Las Vegas Raiders move through the offseason, the franchise rewarded their star edge rusher Maxx Crosby with a $6 million raiser for the 2024 season.
The Raiders didn’t add more years to his deal while moving $1.2 million from his 2026 salary into the 2025 campaign.

Since entering the league as a fourth-round pick in 2019, Crosby has been a significant factor, developing into an elite talent. He has 52 career sacks, twice finished in the top six of the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award, three Pro Bowl selections and a pair of Second-Team All-Pro nods.
The 26-year-old is in the second year of his four-year, $94 million contract that runs through the 2026 season. Crosby has become the defensive face of the franchise and, more importantly, a key part of the team’s long-term future.
“I don’t know whether my rookie year seems like 20 years ago or two days ago,” Crosby said at the start of Las Vegas’ offseason workout program in April via ESPN. “Like, it’s crazy to me.

“But yeah, it’s been a blessing. I mean, it’s been a damn journey, and for me, all that matters at the end of the day is winning, winning for this organization. I pour my heart and soul into this, and I want to be the best leader and teammate I can be on a daily basis, and being a Raider is something that’s special to me. I’ve got real relationships from the owner all the way down to the janitor. I’m here every day for a reason. It’s like a family. There’s not many teams that operate like we do, and we’ve just got to translate that to winning, and it’s just exciting to get things rolling again.”
Although the Raiders didn’t ink Crosby to a longer deal, the move signifies that he will play a key part in the defensive identity under head coach Antonio Pierce.
