Russell Wilson breaks Patrick Mahomes’ TD record through three games
The Seattle Seahawks are starting to look like a legitimate Super Bowl title contender with Russell Wilson quickly making a strong case for this season’s NFL MVP.
On Sunday, Wilson put on another epic performance for the Seahawks at the expense of the Dallas Cowboys. The veteran quarterback threw for five touchdowns against Dallas to seal the win and in the process, he broke Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes’ touchdown record through three games, according to ESPN.

Wilson now has 14 touchdown passes this season, breaking the record Patrick Mahomes set in 2018 for the most in NFL history through a team’s first three games. Wilson also became the fifth player in league history to throw at least four touchdown passes in three straight games, joining Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Mahomes and Drew Brees.
The Cowboys put a lot of pressure on the Seahawks in Week 3 taking the game down to the wire. However, Seattle proved to be the better team on Sunday as they prevailed in this shootout, 38-31.

With the win in Week 3, the Seahawks are now 3-0 on the season and are getting a lot of buzz as arguably the best team in the NFC right now. Although there’s a long way to go in this 2020 NFL season, Russell Wilson and company could be tough to beat moving forward, especially with the superstar quarterback seemingly having no equal under center up to this point.
The Seahawks will go on the road in Week 4 to take on the Miami Dolphins.
