Russell Wilson trade rumors: Ranking the 4 teams
Russell Wilson would reportedly accept a trade to four different NFL teams. Here’s the rankings from least to most sense from his perspective.
4. Chicago Bears
The Bears should be moving heaven and earth to land Russell Wilson, but why would the seven-time Pro Bowler want any part of this situation? One more middling season in Chicago and it’s likely general manager Ryan Pace and head coach Matt Nagy are gone. Even if Wilson were there, the Bears would be bereft of offensive talent, especially should receiver Allen Robinson leave.
Chicago also shares a division with Aaron Rodgers, who is coming off an MVP season and looks to be surrounded by a good cast in the years ahead. Wilson shouldn’t be trying to get to the Windy City.

3. Dallas Cowboys
Dallas is the destination every player loves. The Cowboys are America’s Team, they are constantly playing in primetime and the stadium (and the surrounding facilities) are state-of-the-art. Additionally, Dallas has the glitz and glamour unlike any franchise in professional sports, giving it the extra wow factor.
However, this is a team that hasn’t reached the NFC Championship Game since 1995. Dallas owner/general manager Jerry Jones has failed to put together a quality defense and the offense, while it has some stars in receivers Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb, isn’t much better than Seattle’s.
2. Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders are intriguing. Head coach Jon Gruden has failed to post a playoff win since being victorious in Super Bowl XXXVII, but he’s leading a young squad teeming with offensive playmakers. Las Vegas has Henry Ruggs, Hunter Renfrow and star tight end Darren Waller, along with running back Josh Jacobs and a great offensive line.

The defense remains a problem, but the AFC West is a drawback. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are two-time AFC champs, and the Los Angeles Chargers have long-term hope with Justin Herbert at the controls.
1. New Orleans Saints
Without question, this is the best landing spot. The Saints have consistently contended for the Super Bowl under head coach Sean Payton, and they currently have one of the league’s best defenses. Offensively, this is a group with receivers Emmanuel Sanders and Michael Thomas, running back Alvin Kamara and a phenomenal, young offensive line.
If New Orleans has any problem — and this is a big one — the salary cap is crushing it. General manager Mickey Loomis needs to slash payroll without destroying the team. It won’t be easy.
