Todd Gurley Might Need to Manage His Knee From Now On
Los Angeles Rams star running back Todd Gurley could have been more badly injured in the postseason than the Rams said. As well as that, his knee injury could need to be managed for the rest of his career.
That’s according to the man that L.A brought in to cover for Todd Gurley – C.J Anderson.
Todd Gurley is the NFL’s highest paid running back. He showed why during the regular season with his 21 touchdowns and 1,831 scrimmage yards.
Unfortunately, Gurley suffered a knee injury that kept him out of the last two games of the regular season. Despite the Rams insisting his was fit for the playoffs, they gave him just 31 carries in the postseason run.

Now, reports say Gurley’s knee was in worse shape than anybody realized.
“He was more hurt than what we thought,” C.J Anderson said, via USA Today.
“The injury was a little bit more than what everybody in the building thought, including himself.”
Gurley was only given 14 carries in the final two postseason games, during which he failed to produce. He has 115 yards, TD on 16 carries in the Divisional Round. All these numbers suggest that Gurley was struggling.
Despite that, the Rams continued to insist even after the Super Bowl defeat that Gurley was fine.
C.J Anderson believes that the issue goes back to Gurley’s torn ACL from 2014. Anderson has had knee problems himself, and says that those problems don’t go away.

“Obviously, it’s the same knee injury he’s had before in his career,” Anderson said.
“Obviously I had surgery on my meniscus and once you have a knee, you always have a knee. So it aggravates and if he was getting a lot of touches earlier in the year — obviously him being one of the best backs, that probably was the case.”
