Vikings will activate Teddy Bridgewater, may shut Sam Bradford down for season
The Minnesota Vikings appear on the verge of getting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater back.
After missing the last 16 months with a serious knee injury, the Vikings will reportedly activate Bridgewater to the 53-man roster ahead of Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins.

That’s the good news. But according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the Vikings are also considering placing fellow quarterback Sam Bradford on injured reserve.
Bradford has played less than two full quarters of action since suffering what’s being described as a bone bruise in his knee back in Week 2. There’s some suggestions out there that this injury might be more serious than Minnesota has indicated publicly.
For now, it appears that Case Keenum will be the short-term starter for Minnesota. He’s performed well in stop-gap duties and will start Sunday against Washington.
,Case Keenum remains the starter this week but team does believe Bridgewater will be ready to start relatively soon, if necessary.

The Vikings come out of their bye with a 6-2 record and a two-game lead in the otherwise struggling NFC North.
Which means there’s no reason to rush Bridgewater back immediately, when he hasn’t seen live-game action since January 2016.
