South Dakota

The South Dakota Coyotes men's basketball team represents the University of South Dakota in NCAA Division I basketball. They are currently members of the Summit League. They are led by head coach Todd Lee and play their home games at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Prior to joining Division I beginning with the 2008–09 season, the Coyotes were members of NCAA Division II in the North Central Conference. They were Division II National Champions in 1958.

Sanford Coyote Sports Center

The Sanford Coyote Sports Center is an indoor arena located on the campus of the University of South Dakota (USD) in Vermillion, South Dakota. The facility opened in 2016 and hosts the university's men's basketball, women's basketball, and women's volleyball teams. It has a seating capacity of 6,000. The center is named after a major supporter of the athletic program, Sanford Health, which donated $20 million to help with construction of the facility.
