NFL Week 7 schedule: 5 underdogs to bet on Sunday
The NFL Week 7 slate is starting up on Thursday night, and here are five underdogs to consider betting on to cover and maybe even win.
5. Chicago Bears (+6) at Los Angeles Rams
This line is far too big. The Bears are 5-1 and while their offense can best be described as a hot mess, the Rams aren’t consistently lighting it up either. Factor in Chicago’s excellent defense and there’s ample reason to not only consider but actually expect a close, low-scoring game. Los Angeles has the edge enough to win, but Chicago should keep the game within six points and maybe pull off the primetime upset on Monday night.

4. Las Vegas Raiders (+3.5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This is all about the hook. While the Raiders are 3-2, at home and coming off a bye week, they are rightfully the underdogs. The defense has been lousy most of the year and the Buccaneers are coming off the most impressive win of any team this season, beating the previously unbeaten Green Bay Packers 38-10. That said, Las Vegas has beaten the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints, and this is Sunday night at the Death Star. The Raiders have the offensive goods to keep this very close.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers (+1) at Tennessee Titans
Pittsburgh started out as a two-point favorite, but the line has dropped to where the Titans are actually laying a point. Despite this game being in Nashville against another undefeated team, the Steelers are a very intriguing play here. Pittsburgh has the AFC’s best run defense and while Derrick Henry is a different beast, the Steelers are built to limit his effectiveness. Look for Ben Roethlisberger and Co. to win a hard-fought affair.

2. New York Giants (+4.5) at Philadelphia Eagles
Have you seen the NFC East? Every team involved is terrible and nobody should be favored by more than the customary three points at home. Additionally, the Eagles are now without running back Miles Sanders and tight end Zach Ertz along with all the other maladies. New York and Philadelphia are both awful, so getting 4.5 points here is a great value with the Giants.
1. Cincinnati Bengals (+3.5) vs. Cleveland Browns
The Bengals lost by five in Cleveland in Week 2. Outside of their blowout to the Baltimore Ravens, they’ve been in every game. With Baker Mayfield hurting and Cincinnati getting increasingly competitive, there’s an opportunity not only to cover but to win outright at Paul Brown Stadium this weekend.
