NFL Week 2 schedule: Making a case for each favorite
The NFL Week 2 schedule is upon us after a wild first weekend, and we look at how the favorites can handle their business.
New York Giants at Washington Football Team (-3.5)
Washington is without Ryan Fitzpatrick, but the Giants have a bad offensive line against one of the league’s best front sevens. Should be enough.
Buffalo Bills (-3.5) at Miami Dolphins
Buffalo has to win this game or go 0-2 in a brutal conference. The Bills will come out firing against the Dolphins, who were swept by them last year.
Cincinnati Bengals at Chicago Bears (-3)
Chicago moved the ball against the Rams, getting across midfield on almost every drive. The Bears will capitalize this week.
Denver Broncos (-6) at Jacksonville Jaguars
Did you see the Jaguars last week?
Houston Texans at Cleveland Browns (-12.5)
The Texans won in Week 1, Â but the Browns might be a top-three team in football. They cruise over an overmatched Houston squad.
Los Angeles Rams (-4) at Indianapolis Colts
Matthew Stafford looked great in his Los Angeles debut, the defense was solid and right now, the Colts are an injured mess.
Las Vegas Raiders at Pittsburgh Steelers (-5.5)
Love the Steelers here, at home with the Raiders coming off a short week coming cross-country. Screams tough spot for Las Vegas.
New England Patriots (-6) at New York Jets
Zach Wilson has a bright future, but his present is getting hit a ton behind the league’s worst line.

New Orleans Saints (-3.5) at Carolina Panthers
If Jameis Winston avoids mistakes, the Saints will win games. Carolina is talented, but New Orleans is a better team.
San Francisco 49ers (-3.5) at Philadelphia Eagles
Few teams have more talent than the 49ers, who are likely getting chewed out all week for lambast blowing a 41-17 lead to Detroit. They’ll be ready after watching Philadelphia pummel Atlanta.
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-12.5)
Speaking of Atlanta, see above. Good luck.
Minnesota Vikings at Arizona Cardinals (-4.5)
Arizona was awfully impressive in Week 1, beating Tennessee 38-13. Minnesota was dreadful in a loss to Cincinnati. Not much faith in the Vikings keeping pace.

Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Chargers (-3)
Los Angeles has a terrific quarterback, good weapons and some stars on defense. Dallas has the same. The difference is the coaching staff.
Tennessee Titans at Seattle Seahawks (-5.5)
Love the Seahawks here. They play the Titans, who looked lost with new offensive coordinator Todd Downing. It won’t fly in Seattle.
Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) at Baltimore Ravens
The Chiefs can score on anybody, and the Ravens are 0-3 facing Patrick Mahomes. Also, Kansas City likely gets Tyrann Mathieu and Frank Clark back this week.
Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers (-10.5)
It’s a must-win for the Packers, who get the Lions at Lambeau Field in primetime.
