NFL Week 3 lines: Case for every underdog
We look at the NFL Week 3 lines here, and make the case for every underdog to either win or outright cover the spread.
Carolina Panthers (-8) at Houston Texans
The Texans are home and get the Panthers on a short week. Perhaps preparation is lacking and Houston can get the cover.
Arizona Cardinals (-7.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars need Kyler Murray to make a few mistakes, something he did against Minnesota. With that, Jacksonville can stay in the game.
Atlanta Falcons at New York Giants (-3)
The Falcons and Giants are on the same level. Matt Ryan needs to find his playmakers and hope the defense can keep New York around 24-30 points.
Baltimore Ravens (-8) at Detroit Lions
Detroit has been playing tough, and now they return home against a Ravens team which might have an emotional hangover after beating the Chiefs.

Chicago Bears at Cleveland Browns (-7)
The Bears get the Browns without receiver Jarvis Landry and perhaps Odell Beckham Jr. This isn’t the worst spot for Chicago.
Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5)
The Bengals are coming to Pittsburgh while the Steelers are nursing injuries to edge rusher T.J. Watt and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans (-5.5)
The Titans have been awful defensively. If Carson Wentz plays, there’s a real chance to win via shootout.
Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (-6.5)
The Chiefs have the worst defense in football through two weeks, allowing more than 500 yards per game while giving up eight touchdowns in as many red-zone trips.
New Orleans Saints at New England Patriots (-3)
The Saints have a good defense and an excellent coach. Avoid mistakes and it should be a close contest.
Washington Football Team at Buffalo Bills (-8.5)
The Football Team has a terrific defense, and the Bills are waiting to get more from Josh Allen, who is completing 56 percent of his attempts on 5.3 yards per throw so far.

Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders (-4)
The Dolphins have weapons galore. Whether it’s Jacoby Brissett or Tua Tagovailoa, they need to make plays and support the defense.
New York Jets at Denver Broncos (-1o.5)
The Jets can’t be any worse, and the Broncos aren’t overly explosive. If Zach Wilson avoids turnovers, they can cover.
Seattle Seahawks (-2) at Minnesota Vikings
It’s now or never for a desperate Vikings team, which draws an erratic Seattle squad coming to play in a madhouse.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1) at Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are at home and getting a Bucs team which has struggled mightily to stop the pass. Expect a ton of points.
Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers (-3.5)
San Francisco is leaking major oil in its secondary. Aaron Rodgers could take over.
Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (-4)
The Eagles and Cowboys are both 1-1 and Dallas hasn’t shown much defensively. Jalen Hurts has the ability and weaponry to make this fun.
