NFL power rankings, Week 15: Packers go on top

In the NFC segment of our NFL power rankings, it’s the Green Bay Packers who take over the top spot this week.

16. Detroit Lions

Hey, the Lions won a game. We can’t ask much more from them this season.

15. Chicago Bears

Chicago is a complete disaster. Justin Fields might end up being a great player, but we’re never going to find out with Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace in charge.

14. New York Giants

Speaking of total disasters, the Giants enter the chat. New York needs to move on from second-year head coach Joe Judge, who has seemingly regressed in 2021.

13. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have trotted out Sam Darnold, Cam Newton and P.J. Walker at the quarterback position, and none of them have had any success.

12. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are 5-8 and somehow still in the playoff picture, only one game back of the last wild card spot. However, a date with the Rams in Los Angeles looms.

11. Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta has a huge game this weekend, taking on the 49ers in San Francisco. The Falcons are a game back of the Niners in the postseason chase.

10. New Orleans Saints

New Orleans was able to snap its losing streak with a win over the Jets, but that doesn’t mean a ton.

9. Minnesota Vikings

Which Vikings team is going to show up on Monday night against the Bears? Who the hell knows.

8. Washington Football Team

Washington is trying to stay afloat in the race for a wild card berth, and beating the Eagles in Philadelphia this weekend would go a long way.

7. Philadelphia Eagles

The exact same thing as above, but just in reverse.

6. San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco got an enormous win on Sunday, beating the Bengals in Cincinnati. If the 49ers can knock off the Falcons at home, they’re in phenomenal shape.

5. Dallas Cowboys

Dallas is going to win the NFC East. The only question is how far the Cowboys can climb in seeding.

4. Los Angeles Rams

Beating the Cardinals on Monday night puts the Rams in competition for the NFC West. Can they make a power move?

3. Arizona Cardinals

With their loss to the Rams, it’s possible the Cardinals are stuck in the third seed going forward. Tough plight for playing so well.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers are 10-3 and have the easiest remaining schedule imaginable. They’ll win out.

1. Green Bay Packers

If the Packers beat the Ravens in Baltimore this weekend, they’re likely going to nab home-field advantage.
