Browns’ Baker Mayfield asks for ‘silence’ from fans when he has the football
The Cleveland Browns have gotten off to a rough start to begin the 2019 season. They’ve dropped six out of their first nine games, which has pushed them out of playoff contention.
The Browns were able to get back on track with a much-needed win over the Buffalo Bills at home. However, second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield has the simple request from Browns fans at FirstEnergy Stadium to give them their home field advantage, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

“No, it wasn’t that,’’ he said. “It was just the fact that when we’re on offense, we need it to be quiet. It might’ve ruffled some feathers, once again that’s okay, but when we’re on offense on a critical down, we need to be able to have silence in our home stadium. It’s got to be an advantage for us, and then when they get the ball, it’s got to be really loud. It’s just basic football.’’
This isn’t asking for much as playing at home is supposed to provide these types of advantages for any team. The Browns are in a tight spot this season. Getting that extra advantage could help them get that extra edge.

Although Cleveland isn’t out of the playoff picture, they can ill-afford to lose any more games. They will need a strong finish to the year that even gives them a chance to contend for a wildcard spot in the AFC.
Only time will tell how things unfold for them the rest of the way.
