Browns waive Antonio Callaway, who is facing drug suspension
The Cleveland Browns surprisingly waived wide receiver Antonio Callaway earlier on Thursday.
The reasoning behind the move included Antonio Callaway being tardy for last week’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
There’s now more to this. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the troubled receiver was suspended 10 games by the NFL for violating its drug policy.

Callaway entered the league as a fourth-round pick back in 2018 after a lot of off-field issues during his days at Florida. The talented receiver had already received a four-game suspension earlier this year.
It’s not yet known what’s going to come of Callaway’s appeal. But for now, he’s on the unemployment line. The 22-year-old also recorded 51 catches for 675 yards in 20 games with the Browns.
