Jrue Holiday: When You Get Hot, Just Keep Shooting It
Milwaukee guard Jrue Holiday is bringing much-needed aggression to the Bucks in the absence of the still-limited Khris Middleton.
Jrue Holiday equaled his career-high 40 points in Milwaukee’s 131-125 overtime win against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.Â
Khris Middleton added 16 points and 11 rebounds in 25 minutes, but he’s still coming off the bench. Jrue Holididay was 13-of-21 from the field and 8-of-12 from range, the most 3s in his career.
As well as that, he was 6-of-6 on catch-and-shoot threes and scored against six primary defenders.

“I don’t know if it’s momentum or whatever it is inside of you, but offense fuels you, too,†said Holiday. “When you get hot, you’ve just got to keep shooting it and see what happens.”
“I think he’s gotten to a good place with how aggressive we need him to be,” head coach Mike Budenholzer said. “That’s one of the silver linings of Khris not being able to play early, not being able to play as many minutes as he’ll get up to. I think Jrue’s found a good place with his aggressiveness.”

Tuesday night marked the Bucks’ 11th straight win and with it, the possibility of securing the No.1 seed moved closer.Â

Giannis Antetokounmpo, though, isn’t bothered about that as long as they’re playing good basketball.Â
“Whatever we finish in the regular season, I personally don’t care,” Antetokounmpo said. “All I care about is building good habits, playing the best basketball we can play as a team, defend the best way and hopefully we can put ourselves in a position to win.”
