Bills’ Brandon Beane Drops Eye-Opening Admission About Keon Coleman Trade Talks
Heading into the offseason, there remained questions around wide receiver Keon Coleman’s future with the Buffalo Bills.
That uncertainty has diminished as the Bills’ president of football operations and general manager, Brandon Beane, stated in a recent interview on local radio station WGR-550 that the team turned down trade interest.
“We had some people connect with us in Indy, at least one team there, and a couple between there and the owners’ meetings. But we shut those down,” Beane said via ESPN. “Our intention is for Keon to be here, and so I think the word was kind of out. So, no calls this weekend.
“… We’ve hit the reset button with him, and hopefully the fan base and everyone’s behind him. I think his best year is yet to come here in 2026.”
Since being selected with the 33rd overall pick in the 2024 draft, his production hasn’t lived up to his potential in his first two seasons. He’s coming off another lackluster campaign as he posted just 38 catches for 404 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 13 games.

The Bills have remained patient with his development, but Coleman has struggled to take the next step and become a prominent factor in the passing game for star quarterback Josh Allen.
The 2026 season will likely be a make-or-break year for him, as it will either cement him as a long-term piece or a trade piece next offseason. He is in the third year of his four-year, $10 million rookie contract.
