Dolphins officially active veteran WR Odell Beckham Jr
The 2024 NFL regular season has not been kind to the Miami Dolphins, with the team that was considered to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender coming into the season becoming a resounding disappointment after four games with a record of 1-3.
One of the main reasons for the team’s struggles has been the absence of star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who went down with a concussion in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills. The team hasn’t been able to function the same way on offense since Tagovailoa went down, which has resulted in three losses in four games.
The Dolphins did get some good news ahead of Week 5’s game against the division-rival New England Patriots, with star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. coming off the PUP list.
According to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN, Beckham is expected to make his Dolphins debut on Sunday against the Patriots.
Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was activated from the physically unable to perform list and is expected to play Sunday against the New England Patriots.
With the team struggling the way it is offensively, Beckham was asked if there’s added pressure on him to help them get back on track on offense via ESPN.
“Pressure is why I got into this game. It was never for the attention,” Beckham said earlier this week. “I don’t feel like there’s extra pressure on me — I feel it’s the same for everybody in this building. We got to get going, we got to start making plays. Defense has been playing great; offense, it’s our time.
“There’s no time to panic, but it’s definitely time to have a sense of urgency.”
Although the Dolphins are currently struggling, there’s still a chance to turn things around, as they have only played four games up to this point and are facing the lowly Patriots on Sunday, who are in the same situation.
