NFL cap space: Which teams have the most going into 2019?

For 28 teams, the offseason is here. Hell, for 20 of them, the offseason has been here for a few weeks as a quarter of the league turns over its coaching staff.

While the Super Bowl still won’t be played for almost three weeks, we can start to look ahead at which teams might be aggressive in the upcoming free agency period (starting March 11) and which ones might lay low with limited funds. With the salary cap expected to come in officially somewhere around $190 million, here’s what the top 10 teams with NFL cap space are potentially looking at, per Over The Cap.

10. Dallas Cowboys ($54.6 million)

The Cowboys will sign Demarcus Lawrence first and then extend Amari Cooper. Beyond that, look for an upgrade in offensive weapons on the outside opposite Cooper.

9. Seattle Seahawks ($60.4 million)

Another team that has to take care of its own. Russell Wilson is due for a monster extension, while Frank Clark is going to be looking for a massive deal.

8. San Francisco 49ers ($62 million)

The 49ers already have their quarterback, but they another receiver to across from Marquise Goodwin. Also, the secondary is in need of major help.

7. Arizona Cardinals ($64 million)

Arizona must upgrade the offensive line in the worst way. Additionally, general manager Steve Keim has to stockpile weapons for Josh Rosen on the perimeter.

6. Houston Texans ($67 million)

The Texans have to get some offensive linemen after allowing 62 sacks this season. Houston also needs to invest in some cornerbacks, with Johnathan Joseph showing his age and Kareem Jackson hitting the market. Jadeveon Clowney and Tyrann Mathieu should also be brought back.

5. Oakland Raiders ($76.6 million)

Oakland has needs all over the field with which to use their NFL cap space. The Raiders realistically need to get some offensive playmakers and a pass rush on defense. If only Jon Gruden hadn’t traded away Khalil Mack.

4. Cleveland Browns ($84.2 million)

The Browns are finally in really good shape. Baker Mayfield looks legit, but the offense could use another receiver and some upgrades on the offensive line. Defensively, look for general manager John Dorsey to shore up the defensive line and potentially land a corner opposite Denzel Ward.

3. Buffalo Bills ($87.2 million)

Offense, offense and more offense for the Bills. They need help at wide receiver and tight end more than anything else, although unfortunately the best available receiver is Golden Tate.

2. New York Jets ($99.3 million)

It’s all about getting Sam Darnold some support with the Jets NFL cap space. The Jets hired the offensive-minded Adam Gase as head coach. Now, New York has to bolster the offensive line and find a premiere receiver. Antonio Brown, anyone?

1. Indianapolis Colts ($117.1 million)

If you are general manager Chris Ballard, you want a receiver opposite T.Y. Hilton, a pass-rusher or two, and a lockdown corner. Go make it happen with this capital.
