NFL players will have to get used to COVID-19 testing on a frequent basis
The coronavirus has been a situation that the world has struggled to find a clear-cut solution.
That has impacted all walks of life as the virus has highly impacted the NFL. However, the league has continued to remain hopeful that the 2020 season will move along without a hitch as Association medical director Thom Mayer revealed on Monday that players would get tested three times a week, via Pro Football Talk.

Mayer said, via multiple reports, that players should expect to be tested about three times a week and, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, isolating those who test positive. He also said that he was 90 percent certain that saliva tests will be readily available for that process when teams get to camp in July. Positive tests are expected and Mayer offered a reminder that everyone is going to have to figure out a way to work around that inevitability.
Those safety measures will likely stay firmly in place. Especially after Ezekiel Elliott and several other Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans players tested positive for the virus. The NFL will take all the necessary steps toward making sure it can continue with the 2020 season as planned.

Many things are out of the league’s control concerning the virus. However, they will operate with the hope of getting next season underway on time. Only time will tell how the handling of the virus around the globe will be over the next few months. As a result, that will provide a clearer picture of where things stand for sports.
