NFL Power Rankings: Rams looking to repeat feat in NFC

The Los Angeles Rams are looking to repeat as Super Bowl champs, but do they claim the top spot of our NFL power rankings, NFC edition?

16. Atlanta Falcons

Go ahead, name five players on this roster. Take your time, you’re going to need it.

15. Chicago Bears

The Bears are actively. trying to find out if Justin Fields can win without any support whatsoever. Let’s find out!

14. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks have been a contender for the last decade, but it’s time for a full-scale rebuild, and this is going to be an ugly campaign because of it.

13. Carolina Panthers

Carolina has to start winning under head coach Matt Rhule, but it’s tough to see it happening with no quarterback and a shaky offensive line.

12. Detroit Lions

The Lions are improved after adding first-round talents in edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson and receiver Jameson Williams, but Detroit remains a playoff long shot.

11. New York Giants

What to make of the Giants? This is a rebuilding team because of cap issues, but head coach Brian Daboll and quarterback Daniel Jones are an intriguing duo.

10. Washington Commanders

Carson Wentz is on his third team in as many seasons. The talent around him is interesting, but Wentz hasn’t performed in recent years.

9. Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals made the playoffs last year, but each of the past two campaigns have seen a late-season swoon. Can Arizona avoid that despite a tough schedule in 2022?

8. New Orleans Saints

New Orleans did a nice job of adding talent late in free agency, bringing home a couple of Bayou stars in safety Tyrann Mathieu and receiver Jarvis Landry. Does it mean playoffs?

7. Minnesota Vikings

Can the Vikings finally take a few steps forward with Kevin O’Connell as the new head coach? There’s plenty of talent to make a move in Minnesota.

6. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles did a great job this offseason under general manager Howie Roseman, drafting defensive tackle Jordan Davis and linebacker Nakobe Dean, along with landing receiver A.J. Brown.

5. Dallas Cowboys

Dallas lost some pieces over the past few months in receiver Amari Cooper and right tackle La’el Collins, but this is still a quality group.

4. San Francisco 49ers

The big, big question is quarterback. The rest of the team is loaded, and if Jimmy Garoppolo and/or Trey Lance are just solid, San Francisco can win it all.

3. Green Bay Packers

Davante Adams is gone and the replacements have been slow in coming. Can the Packers make it work? Having Aaron Rodgers helps that cause.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay is aging, but Tom Brady is great, the defense is excellent and the weapons are real. The Bucs also play in a horrid division.

1. Los Angeles Rams

The defending champs remain on top. The Rams are loaded, experienced and hungry for more.
