Raiders expected to hire Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak
After parting ways with veteran head coach and one-time Super Bowl champion Pete Carroll, it appears the Las Vegas Raiders have found their new leader on the sidelines, with the team expected to hire Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to hire Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their next head coach after the Super Bowl, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Sunday.
Even though the two sides appear to have agreed to work together moving forward, Kubiak can’t officially sign a deal with the Raiders after Super Bowl LX, when the Seahawks face the New England Patriots on Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in the Bay Area.
A deal between Kubiak and the Raiders cannot be finalized until after the Super Bowl, in which the Seahawks will play the New England Patriots next Sunday.
Although it is always a risk for an NFL team to take on a first-time head coach, Las Vegas may have taken a giant leap in the right direction with Kubiak, as he might be the ideal leader and football mind to get the Raiders out of their current funk following what turned out to be a disastrous 2025 campaign, resulting in three wins under Carroll.

Kubiak will be able to start fresh with some promising young talent on the offensive side of the football, with All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers, a promising young running back in Ashton Jeanty and the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which will almost certainly be Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza out of Indiana University.
