Ravens’ Kyle Van Noy blasts Chiefs’ training staff
During the season opener, Baltimore Ravens veteran linebacker Kyle Van Noy suffered an eye injury.
Van Noy has expressed disappointment with the medical treatment he received from the Chiefs’ staff, which he deemed “unprofessional” and “unacceptable.”
“I was disappointed in the way the training staff of the Chiefs handled the situation,” Van Noy said on his podcast Tuesday via ESPN. “I was supposed to see an ophthalmologist … and they took an entire quarter to get down to talk to me in the locker room — which, to me, is unacceptable.”

The 33-year-old suffered a fractured orbital bone in the third quarter while he was rushing Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The injury happened when his helmet went under his chin strap when he was at the bottom of the pile that featured Mahomes and his teammate Nnamdi Madubuike.
Van Noy has drawn issue with the time it took for the Chiefs’ medical staff to help him after the injury. He was ruled out of the game around 40 minutes after he left the field, which believes it should have been a much quicker determination due to the extent of the injury.
His status for Week 2 action against the Las Vegas Raiders remains in question as he did not practice on Wednesday. Van Noy is a key part of the Ravens’ defensive front, which he is coming off posting a career-high nine sacks in his first campaign with the team.
