Adrian Peterson ties Jim Brown on NFL’s all-time TD list
The Seattle Seahawks finally snapped their three-game skid after edging past NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers. Beyond the Seahawks getting back into the win column, it also featured a historic moment as former Pro Bowl running back Adrian Peterson tied Hall of Famer Jim Brown with 126 career touchdowns.
After the game, head coach Pete Carroll expressed his excitement for Adrian Peterson reaching that incredible mark.
“It was exciting for guys to get AD his touchdown today so he could tie the great Jim Brown,” said coach Pete Carroll, referring to Peterson’s nickname, “All Day” via ESPN. “That was just for fun. Thrilled that he got a chance to do that and have him with us in this game.”
Adrian Peterson earned his chance to achieve NFL history after inking a deal with the Seahawks to join their practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster before Sunday’s game. Against the 49ers he rushed 11 times for 16 yards with a touchdown.
Peterson didn’t make a huge impact in the running game outside of his one-yard touchdown run. He did garner a game-high 11 carries, which is a trend that may continue. Peterson has proven to be a reliable option when he receives a sizable workload.

The former star running back isn’t the player he once was, but he remains a strong goal-line option. Peterson sits two touchdowns away from tying Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison for ninth on the all-time career touchdowns lists.
If the Seahawks keep him from the rest of the season, he has the chance to move further up the list.
