Tom Brady claims it’s a ‘very exciting time’ for the Patriots
The New England Patriots sit on the doorstep of winning another Super Bowl to push them to the all-time record for most championships.
A huge part of that history was future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady, but even as his former team competes for another Vince Lombardi Trophy against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60, Brady said he isn’t pulling for the franchise he once played for.
“I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one. May the best team win,” Brady said this week on the Let’s Go! Sirius XM podcast with Jim Gray via NFL.com. “And in terms of the Patriots, this is a new chapter in New England, and I’m glad everyone’s embraced the Mike Vrabel regime, all the amazing players that have worked so hard to get their club to this position. We did it for 20 years. There was a little bit of a hiatus in there, but the Patriots are back and it’s a very exciting time for everyone in New England.”
It’s hard to truly believe Brady doesn’t have any internal pull toward seeing the Patriots win another Super Bowl, but it’s likely a public answer he has to state, given that he’s calling the game as part of the broadcast team.

Brady will always be tied to the Patriots, and seeing them succeed certainly has been a satisfying feeling for him. The seven-time Super Bowl champion may never own up to that perception, but it’s something that can never be truly ruled out.
