Tom Brady Inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo To Return To Bucs?
Tom Brady has reversed his decision to retire after watching soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo play over the weekend.
Tom Brady (44), who announced his NFL retirement six weeks ago, was in attendance at Old Trafford when Manchester United played Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
He witnessed an historic performance from 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a hat trick. With the three goals, Ronaldo broke the record for the most goals in FIFA history. He now stands at 807, more than anybody else.
There are obvious parallels between Ronaldo and Tom Brady, who both continue to compete at the elite level in spite of their age.

A day after watching Manchester United, Brady announced his decision to return to Tampa Bay next season.
“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG.â€
It’s easy to imagine that watching his soccer counterpart break a world record inspired Brady to un-retire. However, it’s difficult to imagine what ‘unfinished business’ he could have.
He already tops the all-time lists for passing yards and passing touchdowns. Additionally, Brady is the record holder for completions, Pro Bowl selections and Super Bowl MVPs.

He can only be talking about winning another Super Bowl after a disappointing season with Tampa Bay last season. That’s what general manager Jason Licht is building towards now Brady has made his decision.
“We are thrilled that Tom has decided to come back this season,” Licht said.
“We said we would leave all options open for him should he reconsider his retirement.
“Tom is the greatest quarterback of all time who is still playing at an elite level. With this decision now made, we will continue to move forward with our offseason plans to reload this roster for another championship run.”
