Virginia Defends No. 2 Spot Versus Pittsburgh

The No. 2 basketball team in the country, Virginia Cavaliers, will take on the 17-9 Pittsburgh Panthers tonight

Virginia is the 11-point favorites against the unranked Panthers.

Virginia squeaked by Wake Forest in their last outing, 61-60. Virginia were huge favorites in the game, -18-point favorites to be exact, proving that Virginia can be upset on any given night.

Virginia has won four straight games and is 14-10 against the spread but have recently been struggling to cover in their last six games. They have only covered once in that time span.

Pittsburgh beat North Carolina, 89-76 in their last game. They covered a 3.5-point spread from the underdog position in that game.

Pittsburgh has not been sending bettors to the window as of late. They are 0-4-1 in their last five road games, though they are 4-1 straight up.

This game starts at 6 p.m. ET and you can watch it on ESPN3.

Up next, Pittsburgh will take on Syracuse on Saturday, Feb. 21. Virginia has Florida State on Sunday, Feb. 22 in their next game.
