NFL Week 9 2022: A case for each favorite
It’s time to look at the NFL Week 9 odds and discuss why each favorite can not only win outright but cover their respective spreads.
Philadelphia Eagles (-13) at Houston Texans
Have you seen the Eagles? Have you seen the Texans? This is the biggest mismatch we’ve seen all season.
Los Angeles Chargers (-3) at Atlanta Falcons
Los Angeles is coming off its bye week and while the Falcons are 4-4 and feisty, the Chargers are 4-3 and have a better roster with a superior quarterback.
Miami Dolphins (-4.5) at Chicago Bears
The Bears are showing they have some fight in them, but the Dolphins have the dynamic duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on the outside. Tough to stop.
Carolina Panthers at Cincinnati Bengals (-8)
After the egg we saw Cincinnati lay on Monday night, expect the Bengals to come out furious against an outmatched Panthers team.
Green Bay Packers (-3) at Detroit Lions
This is it for Green Bay. If the Packers can’t break their four-game losing streak come Sunday afternoon at Ford Field, it’s all over.

Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots (-5.5)
The Patriots got a big win in New Jersey, and now they come home to take on Sam Ehlinger. Ehlinger against Bill Belichick? Take the Pats.
Buffalo Bills (-13) at New York Jets
Nobody is more terrifying than the Bills. Zach Wilson was surviving because he had Breece Hall in the backfield. Without Hall, it’s a major challenge to move the ball.
Minnesota Vikings (-3) at Washington Commanders
The Vikings are 6-1 and getting quality play on both sides of the ball. Washington is frisky, but Minnesota is more talented.

Las Vegas Raiders (-1) at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Raiders are facing the end of their season with a loss here. Jacksonville is also a mess, coming off a long week of travel in England.
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals (-1.5)
Since DeAndre Hopkins returned in Week 7, he’s been the best receiver in football. Arizona should start to transform offensively with him on the field.
Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3)
If Tom Brady can’t find a way to beat the injury-ravaged Rams, it might be time to start writing the obit on Tampa.
Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5)
The Chiefs are at home, in primetime, off a bye, with Patrick Mahomes going against the most-limited passing attack in football.
Baltimore Ravens (-3) at New Orleans Saints
Baltimore is the better team and now have Roquan Smith in the middle of its defense.
