NFL Week 15 odds: Making a case for each underdog

The NFL Week 15 odds are here to parse, and the underdogs have a real shot in many cases to cover their spreads.

Kansas City Chiefs (-3) at Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers already beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead this year, and they’re very healthy and at home for the rematch. Los Angeles is a very live dog.

Las Vegas Raiders at Cleveland Browns (-3)

Cleveland is potentially without a host of offensive starters, and Baker Mayfield has been beat up all year. The Raiders have a terrific shot to cover and win.

New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts (-2.5)

The Patriots have won seven straight and their defense is built to take away a weapon such as Jonathan Taylor.

Arizona Cardinals (-13.5) at Detroit Lions

The Lions are getting a huge number here, and while the Cardinals will win, they’re making a long trip on a short week.

Carolina Panthers at Buffalo Bills (-10.5)

Tough case to make here. The Panthers need to get pressure on Josh Allen and force a few turnovers to cover.

Dallas Cowboys (-10.5) at New York Giants

It’s a divisional game and the Giants are at home. Also, Dak Prescott has been scuffling in recent weeks.

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars (-3)

The Jaguars have Urban Meyer coaching them, so the Texans are not only going to win, they’re going to win by 20+ points.

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins (-8.5)

Miami isn’t a big-play offense, so the Jets have a chance to get a few stops or at the very least, force some field goals. Big line here.

Tennessee Titans (-1.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers

Maybe the best bet of the week. The Steelers are at home against a Titans team without Derrick Henry or A.J. Brown. Pittsburgh should be favored, and with a mini-bye nonetheless.

Washington Football Team at Philadelphia Eagles (-4.5)

Washington and Philadelphia are essentially equals. The line is inflated.

Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ers (-9)

The Falcons are getting no respect despite being 6-7 and only one game worse than the 49ers on the year.

Cincinnati Bengals at Denver Broncos (-1.5)

The Bengals are the more talented team, and they’ll be desperate after losing their last two games.

Green Bay Packers (-4.5) at Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson. If he doesn’t play, just move along.

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams (-4.5)

COVID is destroying the Rams’ roster right now, and the Seahawks are fighting to stay alive in the NFC playoff race.

New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-10.5)

The power of prayer. But seriously, New Orleans has won four of its five games against the Bucs with Tom Brady at their helm.

Minnesota Vikings (-3.5) at Chicago Bears

Justin Fields against Kirk Cousins. It’s possible the Bears win here. After all, Minnesota lost to the Lions.
